In my last blog post, I shared some ideas on how to get out of a rut. I have to add one more!
Do something that scares you. I am first to admit, I have control issues and taking risks means that I will not be in control. But I also know, that staying in a steady level of comfort keeps you stuck.
Most recently, I have been vacillating on a decision that will require me to get way out of my comfort zone. I am considering a certification program that requires me to travel once a month to New York City. For the average gal, that would sound amazing! I am not average and it scares the sh** out of me. Although the financial implications and time away from my family are big factors, the biggest factor is how travel takes me out of my comfort zone. I am a homebody through and through because it allows me to keep a routine and manage my surroundings to be just the way I like it. Not only will I be traveling frequently, but it requires me to go to NYC, the city that never sleeps, has bed bugs (not really sure about this), and has a lot of moving parts to it. Yikes!
I am 95% sure that I am going to take a deep breath and jump in. I will keep you posted.
In the meantime, I challenge YOU to do something that scares you. I guarantee that this idea alone will break you out of a rut and allow you to see your life with a new perspective.
Speaking of flipping your perspective, if you are a yogi and you break out in a cold sweat (even in a hot class) when the teacher calls for an inversion, join me for a Headstand Workshop, this Saturday, March 4. See details below.
Whatever you decide to do to push your personal boundaries, please email me and let me know how it turns out. I look forward to hearing about your breakthrough!
Find Your Headstand
Saturday, March 4
12:30 - 2:00 pm
Together, we will break down all the steps necessary to secure a strong and stable headstand for you. Each participant will receive 1:1 coaching as needed. My goal is everyone walks out of the workshop with headstand in their practice or a solid foundation to build from. This workshop will be limited to 15 participants to ensure an opportunity for everyone to advance their skills.
