Feeling Love vs. Feeling Loved

Say these phrases:

“I want to feel love”

“I want to feel loved”

Do they feel different to you?  They do to me.

Feeling Love is more empowering and centered.  I have more control and responsibility over my emotions.  I am choosing to BE love.  I am choosing to act and behave in a way that brings this feeling about more and more.

Compared to wanting to feel Loved. This relies on someone else to take some action.  I am waiting for someone else to do something in order to bring about a feeling in me.

When clients are struggling with finding love, I remind them of their power.

They can feel Love every day by staying focused on what they have in their life versus what’s missing.

They can appreciate their friends and family for their support.  They can snuggle up with their pet of volunteer at an animal rescue. They can be really present when talking with others.  They can savor a glass of wine. They can initiate meaningful conversations. They can recognize how connected they feel after prayer or meditation. They can give authentic praise to themselves and others.

You get the picture.  Even small choices that can impact how we feel and the world around us.

A song from one of my class playlists that perfectly describes the feeling and the whole-hearted being of love  is “Light of Love” by Jai Jagdeesh.  Take a listen here https://soundcloud.com/jaijagdeesh/light-of-love.

How are you going to be “in love” this week?  Please let me know.  Also let me know what you think of the song.  I bet you add it to your personal playlist.

Be the light!
